Manual Activation and Self-test switches

Beacon Operation
Automatic activation by seawater switch within 5 seconds of immersion.

Beacon Self-Test
Manual activation by sealed switch; a self-test facility produces a single 406 MHz test transmission during self-test. All main functions of the beacon are tested including accumulated battery usage.
